Coaching Institute is a SCAM!!

At a continuing education class that the Coaching Institute put on in Colorado on real estate investment I was sold a year long educational coaching package for $3,500. The salesman (Andy Rosas) represented that the company had an infrastructure throughout the company of lawyers, CPA, and real estate professionals that had special contracts for wrap around mortgages, land trusts, owner financing, that were legal in each of the US states (your Power Team). He said you would have the comfort of knowing that you're working with contracts that have already been used and looked over by their attorneys. They had local real estate experts that hunted investment properties for the members of Coaching Institute to use to find good deals. Then we could use our private coach to decide which deals to buy and where to go next for our next investment deal. They are supposed to be experts in any type of real estate investment and they were supposed to hold three day seminars on different avenues for real estate investments. Ends up that they have no lawyers, CPAs or any of the experts to make up a Power Team that they claimed. Their three day seminar on real estate investment was on how to use a daytimer and how to calculate cap rate (duh!) and found out that you have to pay extra if you want in on the group that brings the deals -- forgot to mention that Andy! They are experts on nothing! I told the instructor that I was expecting to be taught different ways to invest in real estate not how to use a daytimer! He said he had to teach to the lowest common denominator in the class. That's because he doesn't know anything to teach! He did try to teach a little about wrap around mortgages but didn't bother to point out all of the legal pitfalls or way to protect yourself or the necessary verbage in the contracts. He said to check with our lawyer on that. Well, I was sold a Power Team that was supposed to already exist!
This is a very dangerous company that gives sketchy advice on things that will end you up in a legal mess. Then they cover their rears by saying check with your lawyer -- what a bunch of losers!
I left after the first day of class and tried to get my money back. They customer service didn't know anything about the representations of a Power Team existing in the company (because it doesn't exist) and told me that they wouldn't cancel my membership even though I hadn't had one coaching session and I was clearly told things that were not true. Their customer service couldn't care less that I was unhappy with their level of expertise and lack of delivery of what had been promised. This is the biggest loser of a company that I've ever encountered. Big losers to stay away from! Check out the BBB site in Utah -- a lot of unhappy customers there! I'm filing a small claims suit against the company for my money and for the principal of it.
